When I was about 16 or 17, my Uncle Dusty told me that he didn't think I would get married for a long time. I guess he was pretty accurate because here we are...almost 10 years later, and I am just pulling the trigger on this whole marriage thing. Waiting was a good thing for me. Here is where I gush about how wonderful and perfect for me my fiance' Joe is because he is wonderful and perfect for me. We met at a circus freak themed party, and there hasn't been a dull moment since. He moved to Texas from Missouri to be with me last month, and we are getting married in 18 days! Eek!
The night Joe met his one and only elephant woman. While we were dating (via phone and web cam from 1600 miles away), it seemed that if we could just be together, then we would live happily ever after and problems would never find us because we would have each other. While we are both the happiest we have ever been, that is just not realistic. I want to chronicle the real experiences/problems/misunderstandings of a young married couple from a first hand point of view. And we have only lived together for a month, but I already have a ton of material to work with. I have a sneaky suspicion that this is the beginning of a life of adventure as well as a continuing education!
